Figures released by the Scottish administration show that over 1,700 jobs were created within the North Lanarkshire region during the last 12 months. Almost 100,000 people are employed within registered firms in the area.
The report, called ‘Businesses in Scotland 2018’, indicates that the number of workers employed in the manufacturing sector has dipped slightly. However, more manufacturing enterprises have been established at the same time as the job losses. When an area benefits from a significant amount of start-up growth, demand for Logo Design can increase.
Allan Graham, a councillor with some responsibility for enterprise, told the Motherwell Times:
“We can see some positive indications of growth in new and emerging sectors as well as increased foreign investment in the local economy.”
Councillor Graham maintained that North Lanarkshire has an economy which is outperforming its Scottish rivals in terms of economic growth. This means that the region is coping with change quite well in an era of considerable political and economic uncertainty. Yvonne Weir, an enterprise manager at North Lanarkshire Council, pointed out that some retailers have been struggling throughout the nation.
Small enterprises have been achieving a lot of progress in North Lanarkshire and these organisations have recorded an increase in turnover of £270 million.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
