An acclaimed artist from Scotland will be coming to play a set in Coatbridge in the new year.
February will see Coatbridge music venue the Georgian Hotel extend a warm welcome to Broken Chanter. From hotels to concert halls, places that present live shows often look to professional printing services to create promotional materials like Posters and Flyers.
The adopted name of Scottish musician David MacGregor, the moniker Broken Chanter comes from the artist’s failed attempts to play his grandfather’s bagpipes when he was a toddler. Fearing he would harm the instrument, the chanter was hidden from him.
MacGregor is best known for his 10-year tenure as the principal songwriter of the Scottish Alt-Pop band Kid Canaveral. The group split up in 2017, when guitarist Kate Lazda left and in 2018, the songwriter began recording demos on the Isle of Skye in a closed gift shop. The result was Broken Chanter’s debut album featuring a range of artists including Audrey Tait, Jill O'Sullivan, Gal, Gav Prentice, Hannah Shepherd, Kim Carnie, and Emma Kupa.
In October 2021, Broken Chanter released ‘Catastrophe Hits’ which reached number seven in Scotland’s album chart.
Broken Chanter will play live at the Georgian Hotel, located at 26 Lefroy Street in Coatbridge on Saturday, February 25. The show will start at 7:30pm and end at 11:45pm with tickets priced at £12.10 per person.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters
