The project has been dreamed up by 3 Sigma Ayr, an investment group that includes Ian Henderson, a Scottish footballer. The company bought the building on Academy Street, in the centre of Coatbridge, early last year. However, it had to wait until planning permission had been secured from the local council before it could move forward with its conversion Plans. That is now in place.
Its scheme will see this building become an aparthotel with a total of 12 bedrooms. It will also offer a range of other facilities that make it suitable for both visitors to the town and those operating small businesses.
Company owners who make use of the aparthotel when it opens will find that it is not the only potentially helpful amenity that Coatbridge has. The town is also home to shops that offer services like printed Business Cards, among other things.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Henderson said:
“Every room will have an en-suite and kitchenette, and have Bags of space. People will come from far and wide for leisure or business and they will be able to cook and do their washing on site.”
