An award-winning guitarist is set to perform live in Coatbridge this summer.
Coatbridge’s 50rpm music venue based at the Georgian Hotel Plans to extend a warm welcome to virtuoso guitar player Elliott Morris, who will play for one night only. Local music venues can sometimes take advantage of professional Print shops to create custom advertisements for upcoming shows and events.
With hundreds of concerts to his credit, the Anglo-Scottish singer-songwriter has earned the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award and three other awards from the Andrea Parodi World Music Festival on the Italian island of Sardinia. Known on the acoustic scene for his Celtic and folk tunes, Morris has become a sought-after performer both at home and abroad. He has toured extensively, headlining shows in Holland, Canada, Germany and Ireland.
At home, he has performed at the London-based Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and played major events like the Cambridge Folk Festival, the London Acoustic Guitar Show and the Great British Folk Festival.
Described by Acoustic magazine as the scene’s “Next Big Thing”, the guitarist favours open tunings with string tapping, percussive hits and the occasional slide. Lyrically, he is recognised for his heartfelt words and skills in songcraft.
Elliott Morris will play at the Georgian Hotel, located at 26 Lefroy Street in Coatbridge, on Friday, June 3. Tickets for the event are priced at £11 per person.
