Plans to bring a disused site in Coatbridge back to life by building a new hub for MOT tests and garage on it have been submitted to North Lanarkshire Council.
The company that has put this planning application in is Rentwise Property. The piece of land that it wants to build the facilities on is close to Woodside Street and is currently lying derelict. It is hoping to be able to construct both a garage and a centre that would offer motorists in the area MOT tests there.
If this planning application is given the green light, a garage with a ground floor that measures 370 square metres would be constructed. It would also involve the building of an access point, so that drivers can get to the facilities from the street. The owners of existing businesses within the district have been informed of the plans.
