Coatbridge gets ready for St Patricks Day fun

The people of Coatbridge are gearing up for the annual festivities to mark St Patrick’s Day for 2024, which will once more centre on a festival in the heart of the town.

This day to honour the patron saint of Ireland always sees large parts of Coatbridge turned into a sea of colour and sound. The focal point is a street festival that draws thousands from their homes to have fun and it will be taking place again this year. The Buchanan Centre will have a marquee set up in front of it, while a funfair will be set on Main Street.

According to the Daily Record, a spokesperson for the Coatbridge Irish Heritage Committee stated to Lanarkshire Live that the organisation was thrilled to confirm its Plans for celebrating the day.

This spokesperson went on to say that:

“As well as our flagship street festival event, there will be opportunities to attend other annual festival favourites – our Irish quiz, the annual lecture, the Father Ted quiz and children’s Gaelic football and soccer tournaments.”

Graphic design outlets that have their base within Coatbridge can help local organisations like this to come up with stylish Posters for promoting their events.

The spokesperson concluded by saying that times and dates would be available on social media. The big street festival will be held on Saturday 16th March.
