Coatbridge firms could win awards

Businesses within Coatbridge might gain recognition in upcoming awards.

Scotland Loves Local is behind the awards in question, with enterprises and individuals which have done a great deal for their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic being in the running.

The nominations process is central to the chances of a Coatbridge organisation having its efforts celebrated so public opinion will count. These organisations may find that including these awards on Business Cards could improve their image in the eyes of the public. The hope is that outstanding local performances will be reflected by a variety of special prizes. Phil Prentice, the CEO of Scotland’s Town Partnership, is eager to highlight the positive role played by community-focused people. Mr Prentice told the Daily Record:

“For all that civic-minded citizens, business owners and local organisations in our town centres have done for us, now it’s time for us to do something for them.”

Mr Prentice pointed out that those engaged in town centre work have had a lot of practical challenges to cope with. He indicated that welcoming consumers back from lockdown restrictions has been quite complex. Security and cleanliness are just two of the issues that needed to be addressed.

Heroes of the Scottish High Street have done a lot to deserve positive feedback recently. This activity has involved supporting vulnerable citizens and making urban centres safer than they would have been otherwise.
