Coatbridge dancers win trophies at top tournament

NC Dance from Coatbridge won several trophies in an event held at Blackpool Tower.

NC Dance is located within Fountain business centre and its members impressed the judges at a national street dance tournament. Flyer printing from Coatbridge is useful for groups of different types. Nadine Creaney is a choreographer at NC Dance and she explained the importance of the occasion to the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser:

“They competed against thousands of kids and even though they have taken part in a few competitions before, it was the first time we qualified for the BDO championships, which was the end of year contest they all work towards.”

Creaney pointed out how happy the dancers were to participate. She indicated that many of the parents of the youngsters went down to see the competition unfold. Creaney developed her gift for choreography at a school for dance within Glasgow. As a dancer, she takes her job really seriously, planning lessons during the daytime.

According to Creaney, extra training sessions were employed to improve the performance of the teams. This training took place after school and at the weekend. Classes in hip hop are especially popular.

NC Dance is not resting on its laurels. The hope is that the young dancers can prosper at the Scottish Championships in June. This event is happening within the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
