Coatbridge charity appeal gets backing from Amazon

A charity appeal that is based at a site in Coatbridge has received a significant donation to the cause, courtesy of an Amazon fulfilment centre.

Scot Baby Box Appeal has its headquarters at Coatbridge and was set up to send packages to families in Ukraine who have newborn babies. It puts all the donations it receives together as Boxes that contain the sort of essential supplies families in the country are likely to need after welcoming a new baby.

Staff who are employed at a fulfilment centre for Amazon in Dunfermline made the trip to Coatbridge this month to deliver the donation. It consisted of everything from drinks to vitamins and toiletries. They also helped members of the charity with space management.

When new charities first launch, they sometimes go to local shops that can supply Logo Design, to help them create memorable branding.

One of the trustees for Scot Baby Box Appeal, Gill Cura, told the North Edinburgh News that she wanted to thank everyone who helped and brought the donation. She then added:
“Their support is always appreciated, and with this donation we can continue to support people just like us who are dealing with difficult circumstances. It’s a great community effort.”

Alasdair Brown from the Amazon centre stated that he loved voluntary work and was pleased to have the opportunity.
