Coatbridge artist undertakes new challenge

A balloon artist from Coatbridge in Lanarkshire has applied to host a major event close to home.

After taking part in an international event entitled “America’s Big Balloon Build”, Coatbridge artist and owner of Classic Touch Balloons, Jacqui Young, has now applied to host a Big Balloon Build of her own in Glasgow. Professional artists and small business owners alike often look to expert business card printing services to produce branded calling card they can hand out to new clients and contacts.

The certified balloon artist recently travelled across the Atlantic to Vincennes, Indiana, to become the sole participant from Scotland in the inaugural Big Balloon Build in the United States. The event was also the first ever of its kind to take place outside of the United Kingdom.

Commenting on her upcoming ambition, Young said that she believed Glasgow would be a perfect city to hold a Big Balloon Build, adding:

“I know the international artists would be welcomed with open arms and would love everything the city has to offer, and we could raise a lot of money for local charities."

In America, Young and her team joined 65 other artists from around the world. They showcased their abilities at the occasion by carefully constructing an enormous version of the Candy Land board game made entirely with 125,000 individual balloons.
