Coatbridge is set to mark the start of the festive season with a day of events this year, and a packed programme of activities has been announced.
This special day will be kicking off at 11am, with an activity called Cheers. During this, local people will have the opportunity to explore their creativity. It is an arts and crafts activity that will see participants make baubles that can then be put on the community tree. Cheers is scheduled to run for two hours, after which it will be time for the youngsters to visit Santa’s Grotto.
They will be able to have a chat with the man himself and tell him what their wishes are for the festive season. The Grotto will also feature a number of stalls selling the likes of toffee apples, popcorn and candyfloss. There will be games for the children to play too, with the chance to win prizes.
When it comes to advertising upcoming local events, poster printing by Coatbridge shops can be a useful option.
This festive day will not be slowing down in the afternoon, as from 2pm there will be a stage featuring live entertainment. It is being provided by Heart Radio and will include competitions.
The activities will draw to a close at 5pm, when the lights will switch on. The event is free and is scheduled to take place on 29 November.
