Business week could help company growth

The recent fifth Lanarkshire Business Week (LBW) may enable a range of businesses in and around Coatbridge to expand.

The week of events was held from Monday to Friday last week, and is held on an annual basis. Business Cards and business Forms tend to be used heavily in the various sessions.

The Atrium Business Centre (ABC) within Coatbridge was booked to hold a seminar called Am I Ready for Growth. Business Gateway Lanarkshire (BGL) is behind this specific initiative. Liz McCutcheon, a business adviser for BGL, told the Daily Record:

“The event will provide information, advice and discussion as well as highlight the support on offer from Business Gateway that can help you achieve your growth Plans.”

The idea behind the scheme is that representatives of small firms may benefit from listening to the experience of a successful entrepreneur. A local businessperson who has made significant progress could be able to shed light on what people need in order to prepare adequately for expansion.

McCutcheon pointed out that the occasion was valuable for other reasons too. In particular, she indicated that networking was facilitated by the session.

Although the ABC event was scheduled for just two hours in the evening, there were plenty of things planned for participants to do between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A session for feedback was put together to allow the discussion to be wrapped up properly. Start-ups and other organisations have been provided with a variety of other sessions to boost their expertise.
