Romford eatery supports local hospital
A Romford-based restaurant has made a donation to a local hospital.
Bekash Tandoori restaurant recently delivered a gift of more than 50 meals to staff at Queen’s Hospital. Located on Romford’s Victoria Road, the business expressed its gratitude to the key workers who have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sulaman Ahmed is the manager of the eatery. He explained that he wanted his firm to make a community contribution during such a difficult period. He told the Romford Recorder why the hospital employees needed assistance:
Ahmed revealed that he had actually desired to do more to help these key workers. However, his small enterprise had been disrupted by the impact of the coronavirus. It had been necessary to shut the restaurant entirely for a while, because of the need to preserve health and safety of both his staff and customers. Printing services can be useful in the restaurant sector, especially when there is a need to update customers on changes to a business.
Damian White, a council leader, backed the generosity of the restaurant manager. Stacy English, a local charity coordinator, was involved in putting the whole scheme together.

“Many of them are working around the clock and may not have time to prepare their meals. So, we decided to share a token of our appreciation and cook over 50 meals for the staff at Queen’s Hospital.”
