Delhi Live is located on Victoria Road in the town and is run by Pankaj Sadheura and Sameer Suri. They purchased it just over 18 months ago and their stated ambition is to turn it into Romford’s finest eatery. They appear to be on the right track too, because the restaurant has made the shortlist for the 2026 British Curry & Catering Awards.
The category that it is competing in is ‘Best Customer Service’, and winning would represent a real achievement. These awards were created to recognise the highest standards in Oriental and Asian food and catering.
Suri spoke to the Romford Recorder about the nomination, saying:
“Customer service has always been a very important thing for us and our staff know that. Also, I am involved in the restaurant, and I like to talk to every customer myself.”

The restaurants that win prizes at these awards are decided based on votes by the public. The venue for the awards ceremony will be Bradford’s Cedar Court Hotel.
