Police station in Edgware to become hotel

A building in Edgware that used to be home to the police station is set to become a hotel, with the confirmation that Plans for this are on the brink of being approved by the council.

This building is situated on Whitchurch Lane, Edgware. It was formerly used as a police station, but the proposals would see it converted into a restaurant and hotel with 38 bedrooms.

A recent meeting of the Planning Committee for Harrow Council saw members recommend that the application be given the green light. This makes it highly likely that the Plans will be approved, but the developers have been told that there are conditions they have to meet first.

The first of these is that they need to enhance the yellow lines that are on the street outside the building. This will make it clear that vehicles cannot wait in the area. The second condition is that the Whitchurch Lane kerbsides will need to be improved. Neither seem liable to stand in the way of the project being able to move forward, however.

Hotels in the district sometimes find that they need the services of Edgware Stationery printers. These can supply them with the administrative Forms necessary for smooth running.

The chosen building for this hotel is a three-storey one. The 28 rooms would be divided equally between each floor.
