Plans for a major regeneration of the town centre in Edgware have taken another step forward, with confirmation that the Mayor of London will not block them.
These Plans are extremely ambitious and will involve big changes for the town centre. At the heart of them is a housing development that will provide almost 4,000 new homes for the area. The project will also see the longstanding Broadwalk retail centre knocked down and replaced by brand new shopping spaces. There has been some opposition to the Plans, but Mayor Sadiq Khan has confirmed he will not stand in the way.
The scheme is a joint venture between the developer Ballymore and Places for London. These organisations have stated that it will make Edgware more attractive as a retail destination, but also for businesses. This is because it will involve the construction of mixed-use offices.
When companies move into offices in the area, they find that there are plenty of useful services nearby. These include Edgware Print shops that supply high quality printed Business Cards.
Jules Pipe, the Deputy Mayor for Planning, wrote to Barnet Council about the project. In the letter, she stated that there was no reason why the Greater London Authority should stand in the way.
The focus of the opposition was the Plans for Edgware bus station. It will be knocked down and replaced by a number of outdoor stops.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
