Over 100 homes could be built near Edgware

Over 100 homes could be set to be built at a site not far from Edgware, if Barnet Council gives the go ahead to the Plans.

The site in question is surplus land that Forms part of Edgware Community Hospital and the developer behind the project is NHS Property Services. This organisation is hoping to construct a total of 122 homes at that site, which is a few miles outside of Edgware. Barnet Council has already given outline planning consent for the land to be redeveloped, but now planning permission is being sought.

If this is granted, the development would consist of three separate blocks of housing. They would vary in height from five to six storeys. In addition to the homes, the scheme would also include 259 parking spaces for bicycles and 16 for cars.

When organisations are applying to the local council for planning permission, they have to send a lot of letters. This means Print shops in Edgware that create Letterheads can be useful to them.

According to the Barnet Post, the Plans that have been submitted for this development do not include any affordable housing. However, 10% will be accessible for people in wheelchairs.

There would be six homes with three bedrooms and 58 each with two and one bedroom.

Barnet Council is now set to conduct a consultation before coming to a decision.
