Brent Council has given its approval to Plans for the conversion of a residential property in Edgware into a children’s home.
The property that has been chosen for this is in Holmstall Avenue, and it will house three children at a time. Brent Council made the decision that the applicant did not need planning permission, so a Certificate of Lawfulness was applied for instead. This has now been awarded by the local authority, so the conversion of the property will be able to go ahead.
This will not involve any changes to the outside, but significant alterations will be made to the interior. A room that currently serves as an office space will become a games room, and a new room for carers to sleep in will be added to the ground floor.
