Edgware house could become HMO

An Edgware home could be set for conversion into a house of multiple occupation (HMO) if the Plans are given the nod by Brent Council.

The application is for permission to convert a home on Beverly Drive in Edgware. The applicant wishes to turn it into an HMO with eight bedrooms that would house a maximum of 12 people. This would involve a considerable amount of work being done on the property, including knocking down the garage on one side of the house. In place of this, an extension would be built that provides the property with a further two storeys.

Another extension would be constructed at the back of the home, so it would be increased in size significantly. The developer behind the proposals submitted a management plan alongside the application. This states that all bedrooms would have bathrooms en-suite, while the dining and living rooms plus the kitchen would be shared.

Print shops in Edgware that create Letterheads can be useful to developers when they are submitting applications to the council. This is because the service helps to create a professional look for all correspondence.

Also included in the management plan are the rules for any potential tenants, such as a ban on loud music past 10pm. It states that CCTV cameras would be set up too.

If permission is given, work would be carried out between June and September.
