A hotel in Edgware could be set to undergo restoration works, with the Plans for this having now been unveiled to the general public.
The Railway Hotel dates back to the 1930s, although its exterior is in a mock-Tudor style. The hotel takes its name from the fact that it was situated alongside the railway station when it was built. It is something of a landmark in the area, but it has been lying empty for almost 20 years. Now, it could be brought back to life, but as a community centre rather than as a hotel.
This would involve a considerable amount of restoration work and the developer behind the scheme has a plan to finance it. The plan would see the site behind the hotel used to build a block of flats that would be sold to raise the money. Around 750 flats would be built, of different sizes.
If this plan is given the go ahead, the new community centre will need to promote its services when it opens. Brochure printing by shops in Edgware can provide it with informational Booklets to help with this.
There is much about the existing building that would suit the proposed change of use. For example, it contains a large hall, which is ideal for hosting events or meetings.
The new centre could open within six years, marking the centenary of the building.Get a Free Quote for Booklets Get a Free Quote for Plans
