Tapas Revolution will be moving into a unit within the Festival Place shopping centre that was formerly home to Pizza Hut, and it is set to feature décor that gives it the feel of eateries in Ibiza or Barcelona. Once it opens its doors it will become the 10th branch of the Tapas Revolution chain in the UK, with this brand having been started up by Omar Allibhoy, a top chef from Spain, back in 2010.
Fellow chef Gordon Ramsay likened Allibhoy to Antonio Banderas, but in the cooking world, and people in Basingstoke will soon get the chance to see if his food lives up to that billing. Flyer printing from shops in Basingstoke can be one way for new local restaurants to advertise when they first launch.
Tapas Revolution managing director James Picton told the Basingstoke Gazette:
“We are incredibly proud and excited to continue to grow our Tapas Revolution with the launch of our Basingstoke bar and restaurant.”
He went on to add that they would be looking to employ people from the town to work within the restaurant and bar.
Tapas Revolution will be opening its doors in the middle of August.
