Planet Ice has revealed that its festive show for 2026 will be Jack and the Beanstalk. The cast of the show is set to contain both professionals and hobbyist ice skaters. It will also put a fresh spin on the famous fairytale, as Jack and his family find themselves facing the possibility of being evicted. To prevent this, he swaps one of the cows they own for some magic beans.
Residents are being promised a mix of ice skating skill, musical and comedy. There will also be lots of opportunities for them to interact with the performers, in classic pantomime style.

The amateurs who are taking part in this show have been trained by Planet Ice, via its programme called Learn to Skate. This will give them the chance to show off what they have been taught.
