Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s development control committee voted Plans for the solar farm through at a recent meeting. This farm will be made up of a total of 296 solar panels and will be located within Chineham Business Park. The chosen site lies inside its Strategic Employment Area, but is not being put to any use at the moment. It is simply a section of landscaped grass.
Companies that are based in local business parks have the option of using a variety of helpful services in the town. They include Basingstoke Print outlets that offer Corporate Gifts for winning potential clients over.
The Plans were approved after a brief discussion by the committee. One issue that was raised was the absence of the usual 40-year solar farm expiry date. It was pointed out though that there is a condition in the Plans for the panels to be removed when they cease to be needed. At that time, the site will be restored.
According to the Basingstoke Gazette, Mike Bound from the council said at the meeting:
“I have absolutely no problem with this application. I will move the officer’s recommendation (for approval).”
There were eight votes in favour of the application.Get a Free Quote for Corporate Gifts Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
