Basingstoke gig scheduled for top tribute band

A band that pays homage to one of the greatest acts in pop music history will be coming to Basingstoke this autumn.

T-Rextasy are a group that celebrates the legacy of the late great Marc Bolan. Their recreations of his classic T-Rex repertoire are so impressive that they have earned the group acclaim all over the world. They have even been given the coveted stamp of approval by the Bolan estate, making them the official T-Rex tribute. They will be coming to Basingstoke to perform a special anniversary show.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of one of Bolan’s biggest hits – ‘I Love to Boogie’. Having originally been a hit back in 1976, it gained a whole new audience when it was used in the popular movie ‘Billy Elliot.’

When the group makes its way to Basingstoke, The Anvil will serve as the venue for their show. Local venues sometimes use flyer printing by Basingstoke shops to help them promote upcoming shows.

Given how big a fan base Marc Bolan and T-Rex still have though, this show seems likely to be a sell out. The band will perform all of the many hit songs by T-Rex, including ‘20th Century Boy’, ‘Get it On’, ‘Jeepster’, and ‘Telegram Sam’. They are also known for putting on a real Glam Rock show, complete with costumes.

This concert will take place on 11th September.
