Snows Group already owns more than 30 car dealerships throughout southern England and is now taking control of three of the sites that City Motor Holdings formerly owned. These are located near Aldermaston Road South, on Basingstoke’s Houndmills Estate.
As part of this deal, Snows Group has retained around 30 people who were employed by City Motor Holdings at these dealerships. The sites are now Snows Peugeot, Snows DS and Snows Citroen dealerships.
Snows Group board director, Neil McCue, told the Basingstoke Gazette that it had taken some work to reach agreement on the deal, but that the company was delighted to be the new owners of the dealerships, adding:
“To be able to get the former employees in as well and hear directly from them is important too. This is just the start of our vision for this site. This makes us the biggest motor dealer in Basingstoke.”
He also stated that Basingstoke represented the perfect town for the company’s Plans.
