Housing development to be built just outside Basingstoke

A scheme that will provide more than 100 brand new homes is set to be built at a site just outside Basingstoke, after the local council gave its approval to the Plans submitted by the developer.

Miller Homes put forward plans for a development consisting of 110 homes to be constructed in Oakley, not far from Station Road. The chosen site is made up of 9.72 hectares and the properties that will be built on it will range from five to one-bedroom homes, all of which will be energy efficient. The developer has also stated that 44 of the properties will be affordable housing.

This is the second version of the plan to be submitted by Miller Homes, after the first one was rejected following objections from people living in the area. It has teamed up with Wates Developments on the project, with the latter company having recently completed another development called Canterbury Gardens at a site next door to this one.

Graphic design outlets that are located within Basingstoke can help housing developers when they are trying to secure approval for projects by providing high-quality images showing what they will look like upon completion.

This particular housing scheme has been given the name Oakley Grange. In addition to the homes, it is set to feature green space of 5,280 square meters, including play areas for children.
