The show traditionally takes place on alternate years and the 2020 event will mark the 27th edition of the Gang Show. This milestone means that it is the local variety show that has enjoyed the longest run. As with the previous editions, it will star youngsters who attend girl guides and scout groups in the borough. Over 70 of them will be cast in the show.
Already, the rehearsals for the event are underway and it will offer audiences a mixture of comedy routines, and song and dance performances. Acts that will take part in the show have had to go through a tough audition process to ensure that the standard is high.
The venue will be the Haymarket Theatre and it will run for 10 days. Events like often use brochure printing services to create programmes and other informative materials. The chairman of the Gang Show, Steve Edney, told the Basingstoke Gazette:
“There are people who tell me it is an event that they always look forward to, and I am looking forward to bringing this latest crop of performers to the Basingstoke stage once more.”
It will take place from 13th-22nd February next year.
