A brand new food outlet offering a range of delicious cakes is set to open in Basingstoke, but this shop has a unique selling point – all of its cakes are made without the use of eggs.
The Eggfree Cake Box has already proven to be a hit with customers in East London since its launch there 12 years ago, and the owners will be hoping for a similarly positive response in Basingstoke. The chosen site for the new shop is on Wote Street, at a spot that previously housed a branch of the bakery chain Greggs.
The unique idea behind the shop is that it provides fresh bespoke cakes for celebratory occasions using recipes that entirely eliminate eggs, which are normally central to cake baking. The official website for the company states that customers generally do not notice the absence of eggs when tasting the cakes.
Since it was founded, the company has expanded to the point where it now operates over 120 UK branches. Food outlets like this often use local Graphic Design Services to help with the creation of colourful, appealing Posters of their products.
The idea to bake egg-free cakes came about as the founder lived by a lacto-vegetarian diet, which ruled out eggs.
No date for the opening of the Basingstoke shop has been announced yet.
