The delivery service is run by two brothers, Brett and Kurt Money, and sees them transport food to customers in the town using electric scooters.
The brothers hail from Rooksdown, with Kurt having studied law and business management at Winchester University. Savvii is owned by Kurt and he said that its customers included both residents and local restaurants – with the ultimate aim being to get standard eateries involved in the market for takeaways and food deliveries.
He went on to tell the Basingstoke Gazette that they were in discussions with several local restaurants, before adding:
“I do feel there is a need for this service in this area as Basingstoke is growing and attracting a lot more young professionals… I think many of these people will want to order food through higher quality restaurants rather than cheaper takeaways.”
As with other businesses based within the town, Savvii can use flyer printing in Basingstoke to help get the word out about its service.
The brothers hope that it can become a UK-wide brand and have been granted £9,900 in finance from the Business Start-Up Fund to help them achieve this ambition.
