This developer is Equation Properties Limited and it wants to demolish the Brighton Hill Retail Park that has stood on eight acres of land at Winchester Road, Basingstoke for over three decades. Its Plans are to construct two terraced buildings in place of it that would add up to floorspace of 14,936 sq ft and would also lead to the creation of up to 415 new jobs for local people.
Any companies that end up occupying the buildings – which are set to operate all day every day – would possibly look to outlets in Basingstoke that could provide them with printed Business Cards. That would be one of several benefits to shops in the area.
According to the Basingstoke Gazette, the application states that:
“The site has been in decline over the last couple of years, seeing increased vacancies following the opening of the St Michael’s Retail Park development next to the site.”
It goes on to add that the Plans would bring further employment to the town while keeping existing fast food restaurants like the McDonald’s, ensuring that the economy of Basingstoke gets a shot in the arm.
No word on when a decision will be made has been announced.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Plans
