Company set to move to new home in Basingstoke

One of the biggest firms in Basingstoke is moving into a new headquarters next year, and work on the building is now underway.

Eli Lilly and Company is a pharmaceutical firm that has clients all over the world, with its main base in Basingstoke. At the moment, the company is situated on Priestley Road, but it will be relocating to a new home at Basing View, after it received the necessary funding from the Invest to Grow Fund, set up by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership.

Once they have been completed, the company’s new offices will be more spacious than its current office, with the new building set to measure 45,000 sq. ft. TP Bennett is the architect that designed the building, which will be in the Basing View Enterprise Zone.

The primary contractor for the initial stage of the project is Morgan Sindall Construction and it will get the chosen site ready for building work to begin during the upcoming months. Corporate Gifts can be a good way for local firms to win new clients.

Speaking to the Basingstoke Gazette, Councillor John Izett said:

“I am delighted to see work now underway on a new headquarters for one of the borough’s largest employers.”

It is hoped that the new base will be ready to open in 2020.
