Change of location for Basingstoke comedy club

One of the most popular comedy clubs to be found in Basingstoke is set to take its giggle filled gigs to another part of the town, as it will be moving to a bigger venue during the spring.

The Laughter House Comedy Club was launched a decade ago by Jan Jack and, for most of that time, its home has been The Red Lion – which is situated within the Top of the Town district. However, the enthusiasm of Basingstoke residents for a monthly dose of chuckles has now forced it to find more spacious surroundings.

The new venue for the club will be the Apollo Hotel, and the hope is that the change will enable it to carry on booking both the hottest rising comedy stars and the biggest names on the circuit.

Speaking to the Basingstoke Gazette, Jan stated that it had been a difficult decision to make the move, given how supportive the previous venue had been, and that they were incredibly grateful for this, adding that:

“With demand for tickets being so high, however, we find we’re disappointing customers who had planned to come. We simply have to face the fact that we’ve outgrown our existing venue.”

The club moves in April and clubs like this often turn to printers that can provide flyer printing, so that they can promote themselves.
