Celebrated classical violinist to come to Basingstoke
One of the most acclaimed classical violinists in the country will be coming to Basingstoke later this year, as she embarks on a solo tour of the UK.
Nicola Benedetti has won a host of awards throughout her career, including BBC Young Musician of the Year. She has also been made an MBE and CBE, as well as receiving the Queen’s Medal for Music. Now, the 37-year-old violinist has announced a brand-new solo tour, which will be her first in over a decade. This tour is scheduled to kick off with a performance in Basingstoke.
The venue for it will be local arts centre The Anvil, where it will be one of the International Concert Series. Those who attend the concert can expect a wide range of music, from traditional folk tunes to romantic classical melodies. Benedetti combines those performances with entertaining stories.
