Basingstoke venue to host cinema screenings this summer

People in Basingstoke will have the chance to enjoy some of the most popular movies ever made at an outdoor cinema this summer, as a venue in town is playing host to it.

Adventure Cinema is an organisation dedicated to these al fresco screenings, and it will be touring the country during spring and summer. One of the places where it will be stopping off is Basingstoke, and a suitable venue has been selected. The Grade I listed country house called The Vyne, which was built in the 16th century, will be used for the film showings.

This building is situated within the Sherborne St John district of the town and boasts beautiful grounds that are ideal for the creation of a temporary entertainment venue. The films that will be screened by Adventure Cinema during its stay in Basingstoke are Top Gun, Pretty Woman, The Greatest Showman and Grease. The audience will be encouraged to sing along at the latter two.

Poster printing by Basingstoke shops is just one of the methods that the company could use to advertise the events closer to the time.

Adventure Cinema co-director Ben Lovell said that the movies chosen offered something for all tastes. He then added that everyone involved was looking forward to the events getting started.

The Basingstoke screenings will take place in early August.
