Redrow had applied for permission to construct this development at a site measuring 11.6 acres situated on the fringe of the Old Basing Conservation Area. The project will consist of the 100 houses, as well as open green space for use by the public that will cover 15,000 square metres, with this area being used to connect the housing scheme with Old Basingstoke village.
The finished development is to be called Cromwell Court and the houses that make it up will range from four- to two-bedroom ones targeted at families. Redrow has committed to ensuring that 40% of these homes are affordable.

“We’re delighted to have secured planning consent in our heartland of Basingstoke where our division is based.”
He went on to add that Hampshire was a prime place to build, thanks to its beautiful rural views and excellent schools. This development will be the fourth that the company is building in the region.
