Basingstoke singer to perform homecoming gig

A singer who originally hails from Basingstoke is set to return to her hometown this spring to perform a live show as part of the promotional work for her brand new album.

Natasha Watts was born in Basingstoke. However, the 45-year-old singer and songwriter is now a resident of Cardigan Bay, Wales. She is set to release her latest album, entitled ‘Music is My Life’ towards the end of this month. The Basingstoke gig will be part of her promotion of the record. The Haymarket will serve as the venue for this concert.

A long-time resident of the town, Watts only left for her current base three years ago. She was brought up in the Oakridge district of Basingstoke and was a pupil at the Vyne School. She has stated that she is excited by the prospect of returning to the town she still considers home for this concert.

Watts began recording music 14 years ago and released her self-titled debut album in 2012. This proved to be a big success, producing a UK soul chart number-one single and a Soul Survivors award for best newcomer.

The concert will take place on Sunday, April 2.
