BrewDog is talking to Festival Place about opening in one of its units – believed to be one that is home to the Coal Grill and Bar. The pub chain has not revealed its intended location yet, but it has confirmed that it hopes to open in the early part of 2022, and that is also when the Coal Bar and Grill is scheduled to close its doors for the last time.

The first indication that BrewDog was planning to open a Basingstoke branch came over a year ago, but up until now, no further details had been announced. The Festival Place shopping centre is now known to be the location and the company has said that discussions are well underway.
The director of this centre, Neil Churchill told the Basingstoke Gazette:
“We are in advanced talks with BrewDog and we hope to be bringing another exciting name to our visitors in the New Year.”
The Coal Bar and Grill closes on January 4 next year and the pub could open not long after that.
