Matthew James is a director of Precision Rehab Ltd, a firm that provides specialist powered wheelchairs. The company is based in the Lychpit area. He has signed up for this year’s London to Brighton bicycle challenge so that he can raise money for Caudwell Children, a charity that specifically helps children with disabilities.
This ride totals 54 miles and should Matthew, who is 43 years old, manage to make it to the end, he has a fundraising target of £5,000. Caudwell Children offers the families of kids who have disabilities both emotional and practical support.
This will be the third time that Matthew has taken on this ride and he was successful on each of the previous occasions, so he has a strong chance. It takes place on September 16th and he told the Basingstoke Gazette:
“I hope that by taking part in this year’s ride I can raise as much money as possible to help this fantastic charity, which provides funding for powered or manual wheelchairs, dream holidays, specialist equipment and family support services.”
When people take part in charity events, their friends and families often support them with the help of banner printing.
