The organisers of the annual Basingstoke Half Marathon have put out the call to people who live in the town to register themselves for the event, with entries now open.
People are being urged to commit themselves to either the Half Marathon or the 10k run and to begin getting into training for them as soon as possible. Destination Basingstoke is the organisation that puts this popular annual event together and it also doubles as a way of raising money for good causes.
The fee for taking part in the Half Marathon is £43 for those affiliated to the organisation and £45 for those who are not. However people can also choose to enter as a ‘Zero Waste Runner’ for £35, which means they do not get the standard T-shirt or medal if they win. For the 10k run, the fees are £30 or £28 depending on whether the person is affiliated.
There are lots of methods available for advertising local events of this sort, including the internet, but promotional Pens produced by shops within Basingstoke can be a very cheap and effective one.
This year’s Half Marathon will cover a scenic but demanding route. Entrants will be running over the hills close to Farleigh Wallop and Cliddesden and will be able to enjoy the views of the Hampshire countryside.
It will be held on 1st October.Get a Free Quote for Pens
