Christmas marketing campaign for Altrincham
A festive marketing campaign has helped the Christmas season proceed with a bang in Altrincham.
Altrincham town centre received a festive boost this year in the form of a dedicated marketing campaign from local organisation Altrincham Forward, which encouraged residents to enjoy a variety of activities that have been on offer in the area throughout the Christmas period.
Trafford Council leader Matt Colledge spoke about the marketing campaign, saying:
The marketing campaign spanned both print and digital channels, using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter alongside more traditional marketing techniques like leaflet and poster printing.
Altrincham residents have enjoyed a number of activities as part of the campaign, with all tastes being catered for. Exclusive shopping events, parades and food festivals are just some of the activities that have enticed local people back into Altrincham town centre this year.
Local businesses have also partnered with the council to encourage people to use the town's amenities. The manager of Marks & Spencer, Angela Roscoe, spoke about this, saying:
