The Anglo-Irish, Manchester based tenor Martin Toal is due to make a return to Altrincham with his 'A Night at the Summer Proms', arranged for the beginning of June.
A classically trained singer, who began his career in 2004, he is much in demand across a wide range of corporate, charity and sporting events. Indeed, Martin has appeared at many of the UK's leading sporting arenas such as Old Trafford, Twickenham and Wembley.
He has performed with a number of Europe’s most successful artists. These include tenor Alfie Boe, Chris de Burgh, and the soprano Lesley Garrett. His list of media credits is also quite impressive, encompassing BBC One’s 'Inside Out', SKY News, BBC Two’s 'A Band for Britain' as well as BBC Radio 2.
The programme for the evening consists of songs/dance from the pop and opera worlds, not to mention musicals. Martin will be accompanied by his guests notably, the soprano Millie Royle, violinist Richard Sanderson, and the June Rendell Academy of Dance. It concludes with a finale, a singalong akin to the 'Last Night of the Proms'.
