Altrincham French Festival returning for a second year

Francophiles living in Greater Manchester are set for a treat this summer, as the Altrincham French Festival comes to town again.

Paying tribute to the culture of France, the festival was held for the first time last year. It reportedly proved such a hit with residents that the organisers have stated that this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.

Among the activities filling the two days of the festival will be a celebration of Bastille Day, with Bowdon Rugby Club serving as the venue, a display of fireworks, and a ticket-only event featuring a three-course meal of French food alongside live music.

The highlight of the second day is set to be a celebration of French cooking and culture, which is free for all the family to attend and will take place in Stamford Park.

It will feature storytelling, classic French cars, puppet shows, a magic act, and a rugby competition for youngsters in honour of this year’s Rugby World Cup.

Those putting the festival together will know that they can rely on the help of local companies for poster printing in Altrincham, to help them produce appealing, Gallic-themed Signs for promoting the event.

Several businesses and organisations will be lending their support to the festival, including Alliance Francaise de Manchester and the French Embassy, which will take place across 11th and 12th of July.
