The Halton Women’s Place charity will be holding its annual gala event this February, this time adopting a classical Venetian Ball.
Participants will be invited to wear a traditional masquerade mask along with a formal outfit, adding an air of mystery to the gala. The evening will feature a four-course gourmet dinner prepared by local chefs and a late-night sweet table to please the appetite. For entertainment, there will be live music, an open dance floor and a 360-degree video booth to create a keepsake of the ball.
The gala will be raising money for the Halton’s Women’s Place’s Bridge to Hope Housing Program, providing safe and supportive housing for women and children in need. In addition to proceeds from ticket sales, the ball will be raising money through live and silent auctions. Auction items will include luxury goods and experiences from local businesses.
Attendees are encouraged to create or purchase their own Venetian-style mask to express their creativity. The annual fundraising gala takes on a different theme each year, with last year’s being the “Crystal Ball Gala”, which raised more than $200,000. Charitable events like this often feature speeches and displays or poster printing to highlight the work of the supported cause.
The Venetian Ball will take place on the evening of February 21 at the Oakville Conference Centre.
