Science learning space opens in Oakville

The STEAMULATION Lab Academy has opened its doors, and the Oakville-based learning space will hold its ceremonial grand opening this May.

The space is aimed at children and youth looking to expand their learning on the STEAM or STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The space will hold events and workshops offering a chance for hands-on experiments, learning and crafts. The space has already run activities including an origami workshop, wood puzzle workshop, and Easter crafts.

The official grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the Mayor of Oakville and local Members of Parliament. Kids can engage in free hands-on activities aimed at teaching STEM basics in a fun way, and have a slice of celebratory cake. Parents can meet the team, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about the Academy’s programming.

The first 20 attendees to the grand opening will receive an exclusive gift and special discounts for Academy programming. Educational and extracurricular centres like this often use methods like Catalogues and flyer printing to help make it easy to learn about their programming. The space was founded by scientist Tina Dolatzadeh and grew out of an effort to provide hands-on experiments to children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The STEAMULATION Lab Academy will hold its Grand Opening event on the morning of May 2 at its Oakville location.
