The Odd Couple coming to Oakville

A well-known play is coming to Oakville next month and is expected to leave the area’s residents laughing for weeks.

The Odd Couple is a humorous play written by Neil Simon and is being presented by the West End Studio Theatre cast. The comedy is based on the relationship between Felix Unger and Oscar Madison and will be a nostalgic event for those who used to watch the TV series in the 1970s. Brochure printing was most likely used to promote the outrageous comedy performance to the community.

The classic comedy starts with the cast assembled for a game of cards in the home of Oscar, who is divorced. Felix, who is also recently separated, then joins the scene and the play goes on to tell the story of the two, with a few comical twists and turns.

The TV series ran between 1970 and 1975 and was hugely successful; running for five series in total. The episodes were released in DVD format in 2007 and continue to play a big part in the memories of many people in the area. Poster printing may have been used to entice those people to the show.

Those looking to purchase tickets should visit the West End Studio Theatre or call the box office at 905-845-9378. Regular seating costs $28 per person. The show will be performed between February 7th and 10th and from February 13th to 16th. Performances begin at 8pm at the West End Studio Theatre in Oakville, Ontario.
