Communities across Ontario are striving to become more environmentally sustainable for future generations, and the city of Oakville is doing its part to ensure that future developments reduce their ecological footprint for residents.
The Oakville chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario and the Oakville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a two-day event on the building of sustainable cities on November 9 and 10 in The Town of Oakville.
The community symposium leaves a few promotional opportunities for local Print companies to become involved in the ‘Working Together Towards Sustainable Cities’ symposium, which also invites Oakville residents to contribute to sustainability and offer input. Flyer printing and local brochure printing, detailing the presentation and agenda, provide a platform of issues that will be explored at length. Printed press releases and banner printing of urban planning projects can also provide visual aids to the symposium as well.
The symposium invites expert opinions from government agencies, various industries, academia, and the public at large - all with a goal to planning, strategizing, and shaping urban projects of Oakville and the society at large. Architects, planners, engineers, and designers will also be on hand to help elaborate on the Town of Oakville’s VISION 2057 to become a sustainable community in North America. The presentation will also compare Oakville to other sustainable cities elsewhere in the continent.
The ‘Working Towards Sustainable Cities’ symposium will run for three hours on the Friday, followed by a Saturday program that begins with a breakfast, followed by morning and afternoon presentations. The symposium will take place at the OE Banquet Hall.Get a Free Quote for Print
