There are several small business events held throughout the year, all over the country. These events help to educate and inform business owners in order to increase the chance of their business succeeding and thriving. The Oakville Chamber of Commerce hosts Small Business Week every October; the event includes seminars, workshops and networking opportunities. This event will be relying on printing services companies to supply the training materials needed.
This year Small Business Week will be held from October 17-23 at the Oakville Chamber of Commerce. The event opens with a kick-off breakfast which will feature Cora Tsouflidou of Cora’s Restaurants. Ms. Tsouflidou will share her success story and will offer advice to those hoping to be as successful in business as she has been.
Small Business Week will be presenting 8 seminars; online marketing, social media, sales, customer service, networking, time management, expert financial, legal and accounting advice and work-life balance. Package deals for 3 or 8 seminars are available.
Another part of Small Business Week is the Business After Hours and Trade Show which will take place on October 19. This is a free event and will include several vendors plus the chance to network with other business people.
Events such as these are very important to the success of small businesses. Not only do they educate business people on marketing and legal topics, but they also give small business owners a chance to meet one another and to help create a referral network that will benefit both businesses.
