The Referral Institute uses what they call the “3 Core Competencies of Referral Marketing”. These include giving people the correct marketing knowledge, teaching them how to implement their referral plan and making sure that they are trained correctly. Among the training offered by the Institute is Referral Success 101, a two hour class on how to develop a referral network. They also offer the Certified Networker program which consists of 12 modules with such subjects as Activating your Referral Network and Working with Contact Spheres.
Another event held by the Institute is the annual Referrals for Life Day. This one-day conference features several speakers and Referral Institute instructors, vendors and a chance to network with your peers. The most recent one, the 3rd annual was held at Credit Valley Golf club in May and cost $200 per person.
