Pilot Coffee to land in Oakville

Toronto-based cafe chain Pilot Coffee Brewers will be opening a location in Oakville this June as it looks to expand beyond its home city.

The new location is aimed at servicing specialty coffee lovers. The company roasts its own specialty coffee blends with beans from across the world, offering flavours such as Sumava Teresa from Costa Rica, Catalan de Las Mercedes from Gesha and Mahal Aqueequl Station from Yemen. Coffee is served hot in store, as well as sold in Bags both in store and online.

The company says that its model is based on building relationships with both suppliers and consumers:

“From our roastery to our cafes, we’ve established an unparalleled experience by sourcing high quality specialty coffees from Direct Trade partners in the best growing regions in the world.”

Pilot Coffee Brewers’ cafes use a Scandinavian-inspired design and offer espresso and cold brew options in addition to rotating seasonal drinks. The chain has been in operation for 13 years, with six shops in Toronto, and two more being added this summer. Businesses expanding into new locations typically draw attention through tools like flyer printing and social media advertising, as well as opening events and sales.

The Oakville location of Pilot Coffee Brewers will be on Lakeshore Road in the downtown area and will be open seven days a week. The cafe will have its grand opening on June 6.
