This December will see a special one-day Multicultural Market in Oakville, featuring dozens of diverse local small businesses.
The market looks to appeal to those who may be looking for an unusual holiday present or a taste of home during the Canadian winter.
The Market specializes in products and services native to areas like the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Attractions include art, clothing and jewellery. There will also be food stalls set up for a taste of delicacies from around the world. In addition to the Oakville event, the Mulituclutral Market will also be making stops in nearby Hamilton and Vaughan in 2019.
The vendors at the market will range from arts and crafts to services like UCMAS Mental Math educational programs and nonprofit organizations like Human Concern International. There will be an art gallery on site, as well as events like storytelling for kids and lucrative giveaways. Marketplaces and events like this can often be a boon for local businesses, giving them a prominent place to compete with larger chains. With flyer printing and Promotional Products, that impact can last long after the actual event.
The Oakville edition of the Multicultural Market will take place on December 1 at the OE Banquet & Conference Centre. Attendance is free, but those interested are asked to register in advance for space reasons.
